Voice changed certificates and Obi110 failed with \u201d Backing off\u201d Connection error.<\/p>\n<p>Initially thought as DNS Server issue and tried all and when support refused any firmware updates for Obi110 to fix the certificate issue, I noticed a SIP alternative using a third party provider for incoming calls in the obhi forums. It is an although a\u00a0 puny $6 one time charge, not sure how long this will last, I decided to find an open source solution for running own SIP Pbx. Googling resulted in Asterisk PBX solution and I had a spare raspberry pi w ( bought @Mircocenter for $5) that I could use.<\/p>\n<h2>Here are the steps to prepare raspberry PI:<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Download the raspbx from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/download.raspberry-asterisk.org\/raspbx-10-10-2017.zip\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">http:\/\/download.raspberry-asterisk.org\/raspbx-10-10-2017.zip<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Use a software like etcher to image it to an SD CARD (Steps:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.raspberrypi.org\/magpi\/pi-sd-etcher\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">https:\/\/www.raspberrypi.org\/magpi\/pi-sd-etcher\/<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Add WIFI connection settings configuration file wpa-supplicant file.\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0<code>sudo nano \/etc\/wpa_supplicant\/wpa_supplicant.conf<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Go to the bottom of the file and add the following:\n<pre><code>network={\n\t\t\t\tssid=\"your ssid\"\n\t\t\t\tpsk=\"wifi password\"\n\t\t\t}<\/code><\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Now reboot and\u00a0log in using root and raspberry as a password. Change password for security and then run raspbx-upgrade.<\/li>\n<li>Added a static route in the router to use a fixed local ip.<\/li>\n<li>connect to the system using \u201d ssh root@IPAddress\u201d , where IPAddress is the static IP of the raspbx box.<\/li>\n<li>Change timezone ( configure-timezone command ) and also keyboard and localization settings using raspi-config command)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><strong>Here are the steps to the configuration of the raspbx pbx:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>( more info here\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.raspberry-asterisk.org\/documentation\/#basicconf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">http:\/\/www.raspberry-asterisk.org\/documentation\/#basicconf<\/a>)<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>go to\u00a0http:\/\/ipaddress\u00a0\u00a0to config the asterisk using FreePBX Gui.<\/li>\n<li>First, it will ask you to enter a password for admin and an admin user will be created.<\/li>\n<li>Using Menu -&gt; Applications\u2013&gt; Extensions\u00a0 create a new PJSIP Extension.
